Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic II
Position Type: Full-Time | Contract
Position Overview
Seeking highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic II (Avionics/Electrical) personnel to support depot-level maintenance, modifications, and operational checks on MHU-196 and MHU-204 heavy munitions trailers.
Work is performed under Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) in support of the Combat Readiness Directorate (AFLCMC/ROZ).
Period of Performance: May 29, 2026 – September 29, 2027
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance
- Execute TCTOs (TO 35D3-29 series)
- Troubleshoot electrical systems
- Conduct inspections & operational checks
- Maintain documentation and tool control
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years aircraft maintenance experience
- At least 2 years hands-on avionics/electrical experience
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical components and wiring
- Experience reading and interpreting:
- Wiring diagrams
- Blueprints
- Technical manuals / schematics
- Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems, test equipment, and maintenance practices
- Experience with electrical connectors, terminations, and system operational checks
- Familiarity with Air Force Technical Orders (TOs) and TCTOs preferred
- Ability to document maintenance actions and maintain records
- Normal color vision (per AFI 48-123)
- Ability to travel (TDY) as required

Primary duty location will be specified at time of hire.
Travel may be required to:

- Edwards AFB, CA
- Ellsworth AFB, SD
- Sheppard AFB, TX
